Baby girl was born ~6 hrs ago. But she's in the NICU for swallowing nasty stuff during labor and having some respiratory issues.

I'm terrified even though doctors don't seem too worried.

Haven't even gotten to hold her yet and it's hard.

Could use all of the good wishes, thoughts, prayers, or whatever else folks believe in.

I think this can be a common occurrence but despite that, it’s always scary when it’s your baby. Sending baby girl prayers for a good outcome and also sending you healing vibes.
 
Hoping for a speedy exit from the NICU and biggest hugs outgoing to you and your growing family!

I thought it was getting close time for your little one to arrive. Congratulations and hope she is in your arms in no time. I hope you have folks around you to comfort you while she heals. Will certainly keep you both in my thoughts and prayers - I am sure she will be fine!!

Thanks, all! I got to see her, and docs don't seem too worried. But I got to hold her hand and touch her little head. Fingers crossed she can wean off O2 today!

Congrats! My first baby had similar types of issues and it wasn’t too long before everything was a-okay. Doctors are super cautious with babies so they don’t take any chances at all, which is good but scary. I think this is a very common issue and they have a good plan for dealing with it.
