Good evening all.

Can someone help determine a fair price for the following diamond?

1.32 J VS2 61 depth, 60 table Finish/Sym: Good/Good Strong Blue fluorescence

Should someone walk away because of the strong blue?

Thanks

The strong fluorescence by itself may or may not be a reason to walk or not walk, but there is a lot of info you don''t provide, which could make the fluorescence issue moot. Give us everything you have on the stone

There is a search feature at the top of the page where you can pricescope your diamond. It will give you a good idea of what similar stones are going for. Strong blue flouro is only a problem if it makes the stone look milky. This is a case where you will need to see the stone or if you're dealing with a vendor they can tell you if it's a problem or not. I have medium blue in my stone and love it. There are many people here that actually prefer it. HTH, good luck!!

Thanks for the quick reply. That''s all the information I have....hence the nickname Diamondnotsosaavy. What else should I be asking for? I saw the GIA report and thought I captured the important characteristics of the diamond.

First of all, what shape is it? Also, crown/pavillion angles would be nice, as well as a pic or 2

Sorry... it''s a round. That is all the information I have unless I contact the jeweler tomorrow. Can a rough estimate be given based on the information I provided? If not, then I can capture additional information after I have spoken to him again.

An educated estimate cannot really be provided on what you have given...I will comment on not liking the good good for polish and symm but that''s my personal preference to have VG VG or ID ID etc. I''d be bothered by the GD GD. Also, the Table and Depth combo for me are not the best, but there are some staunch supporters of 60/60''s here who say they are great. I think with more information such as Sarin information, crown and pavilion angles, it will be alot easier to give advice or thoughts. The SB fluor would not turn me off a J diamond at all, as long as it was not milky it will be a visual positive for making the stone look ''whiter''.
