Ooh, an oval! I don''t know anything about ovals but this sure is a long skinny oval. I''m partial to fatter ovals.

Ovals are not my forte, so I will defer to others who are better with them, but from the pic it is very pretty. One thing that concerns me a little is that the symmetry is listed as good (as opposed to excellent or very good). Have you asked someone at JA to eyeball it for you?

I know almost nothing about ovals. I think it''s a good start. The patterns etc. look pretty. As with most fancy shapes, you should really get an ASET or Idealscope to get a better idea on light return.

Also, I''m not sure if the color may be easier to see in ovals then in rounds?

Pretty stone...

I (personally) perfer a bit deeper with a smaller table.

Shape is classic.

But you should compare with another oval with a "8 main pavilion" you posted a (4 main). It has a different look which some prefer.
I am sure the vendor would have one to show you for comparisons.

Is the 8 main more brilliant, fiery, etc? I can only assume so...
