Heirloom Halo Micropavé Diamond Engagement Ring in Platinum (5/8 ct. tw.). $3,339

What do you think pricescope, can i get more or better for the same price? Please help, this is what the best man is for.

Any response is much appreciated, hit me with your best shot.

do you have pictures of the setting?

also, does your friend want very high color/clarity?

Do you know who the setting is made by? Off the top of my head the stone price seems ok but the
setting seems like it might be a little high. He may be paying for a designer setting and thats why
it could be a little more.

Here are some similar Gaberial and Co settings to check out.

This is $2150 in white gold, you would need to ask if it comes in plat and what
the charge would be.

Setting is too high in price for sure. Not good to have diamonds on the side, really, because it can scratch the wedding band. Some similar ones:

http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/diamond-settings/halo-prong-diamond-engagement-ring-34.htm $1995 in platinum

http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/diamond-settings/grace-diamond-engagement-ring-by-vatche-255.htm (a very high quality designer setting and only $2861 in platinum)

I have to go but will try to return later. He definitely would be overpaying for the setting.

What kind of grading report/certificate does the stone have? Can you post the report number and exact carat weight so that
we can make sure that it is a well cut stone?

I think the setting is from BN. it seems reasonably priced for the amount of pave but as previous posters have said that is not a style I would wear with a wedding band.
