Hi

It has been a while since I posted, but have been reading when I can.
I am trying to find a nice locket - more modern in design rather than old world charm iykwim. Can anyone recommend any? I live outside the US so they must be able to ship overseas Have looked at Tiffany, goerge jensen, ( in terms of the style I like) etc but can't find anything. sigh....

any help with pictures would be really appreciated.

There are a lot of craftsman that work in silver and make lovely contemporary pieces. I wouldn't go for big brand names and commercial production. I'd rather have a lovely handmade piece from a craftsman made for me.

thanks Gypsy.
I guess I am a bit wary of buying something from a smaller craftsperson from Etsy etc as the last necklace I purchased from one of those sites was not really as substantial or as good a quality as the picture made it out to be. I am after a medium size but substantial piece of jewellery. So happy for etsy recommendations if others can vouch for the vendor.

Well, I don't buy a heck of a lot of silver jewelry.

But I would post for silversmith recommendations. There might be a number of them that you can contact. :wavey:

Do you like any of the ones I posted for you?

Yes I really liked the tree one ( the last link) - as a typical Ps'er I will research and look for ages and agonise over the decision :naughty:

I also like the mabott lockets ... it is amazing what is out on the net so thank you . i find when I look I tend to see the same old stuff

Give this designer a look. Her stuff is lovely and high quality.

So I have been on the lookout for a locket I like for years now. I guess I'm really picky about lockets. Some of the suggestions here are awesome. The Monica Rich Kosann ones don't have measurements for any of the lockets I like though! I may have to call and ask because some of those are really nice.

Anyway, I was browsing etsy and found this...

which looks a little like this:

And that gave me a laugh.

HI:

Links of London as a couple; not sure how modern they are. Oakgem has several, however they are 18K yellow gold and more traditional (enamel, etc.).

cheers--Sharon
