Good cushion? VERY DETAILED specs and pics included!

This is a cushion I am thinking of buying. I no longer have my previous one Been looking hard for a replacement since 8 mains are not so common, How do these images look to u? I have seen in person at jewelers, their walls are cream w some yellow spotlights, so it looked darker inside. Then once I shaded it or took it to another room that look disappeared. Have yet to take it outside since it was dark both times I went. It is a 1.01 cushion brilliant H vs1 no flour no culet, 8 main. EX cut, EX polish, VG symmetry, 56% table 67% depth It does have .4% off or .2mm off center table and 1.4% off culet. I just can't remember my old stonw absorbing weird colors like that cream tan wall w reg color and then yellow lightings turning the stone a dark color. What do u guys think of these images? Thanks!

Not a cushion expert...its definitly got some leakage/contrast under the table and a tad more on the outside but I still find
it an attractive stone. Have you tried taking it outside?

You'll probably have it in lighting conditions similar to the jeweler's often and it sounds like you don't like it under those lighting conditions. I recommend you trust your eyes.

Honestly, they mean nothing!
Looking at the stone specs and at the middle picture, it seems like a very nice stone.
The most important thing is to put the stone on the back of your hand and look at it in a natural light.

If the stone has life (Sparkle) = you are in business.
We sometimes in the trade even use the phrase, the stone is smiling.

I truly think it is the most important thing when buying a stone.

If you would like and you can get access to the GIA certificate, please send me the GIA number and I'll take a better look at the certificate.

one last thing, you mentioned EX cut Ex Polish, Etc....

This sure is an interesting cushion and not like any others I have seen. The outline of the diamond is beautiful to me.

To me, the dead spots are almost there by design and not because of poor cutting. I don't really like how it looks but the cutter probably did. Do you have the GIA plot?

ETA: My 8 main modern cushion looks nothing like your cushion. I have not seen anything like yours and want to see the plot.

My diamond has dark spots in the middle but the facet pattern looks diff to me.

To me, it doesn't. I think the poster's diamond looks just like the one in GOG's video as well as the aset you posted. But not like mine. Sorry ... not into playing games.

Not exactly true, but true enough in this sense........

Nearly ALL cushion cut ratings are arbitrary based on the vendor. GIA recognizes GOG's AVC, as well as one other branded cushion cut (who's name escapes me). Outside of those (which this is not), the cut grade is, virtually, worthless on paper.

There are many pricescopers who have this same facet structure and same basic proportions(8 main modern).
Do a pricescope search and see old threads (DDCha, SweetPea&babycorn, Chunkycushionlover).

It would be better for you to post the GIA or other lab certificate number so that the specs can be confirmed especially for considering price.

As far as cut quality to get a "more red" ASET(which is the fundamental basis AGS lab certification of light performance) you would need to go to a brand like SCHA, AVC, POH or go with a vintage (8 main thick) facet structure.
You will likely pay significantly more per carat(assuming same color and clarity and grading lab) for any of these other options as they are more costly to produce per carat.
