Hello, I was wondering if anybody could help me. I had my engagement ring made, and I opted for 14k white, should have went at least 18k....But anyways, I noticed on the bottom of my ring a mark on the gold. I asked the jeweller what it was and he said he wasn''t sure. He polished it and the mark is still there, it was a little less noticeable. When I run my finger over it, I can feel the difference.To me, it looks like a tiny piece of gold came off. That is the only way I can describe it. I remember the jeweller saying something that started with the letter "r", but I can''t remeber what it was. Does anybody have any idea what this is? I am worried that this is cheaper gold, even though the report says 14k. Help!

Rhoduim?? Not sure why there is a mark on the ring though, it should be able to be polished out.

Yes, thank you ! That is the word I could not remeber.....That is what he said it was. When I look at it and touch it, there is a small mark, and it is really bothering me. I don''t know what to do. When I go for our wedding bands, I have to talk to him. I just wanted to be a little more informed. Do you have any ideas on a wedding band. A channel set princess cut would go best, but I am trying to find something a little different. Any suggestions?
