Gold Plating

When I was a child my grandmother gave me a gorgeous locket necklace... being soo young the actual locket was gold plated...

about 20 years later I still have the locket unfortunately the gold plating has started to chip... is there a was to get it re-plated again... and if so how much would this cost me??

It depends on the details of how it was done and what the underneith layer is made of. Go visit any jeweler with a shop on site and ask them. Estimates are usually free and if they can do the job at all, I would be surprised if it's terribly expensive.
