Going to Maui over Labor Day, looking for some help

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend of 4 years in Maui, I currently have a budget set at around 5,000-5500 total for the ring entirely.

I've been trying to do my homework and my brother who got married last year bought his diamond from Brian Gavin.

I was hoping somewhere around the setting for $1500-2000 and the diamond around $3,000-3500 to put me right around that 5500 mark.

I have currently been looking at

Cut: Ideal/Excellent
Color: F-I
Clarity VVS2 - VS2
Shape: Round/Cushion/Halo

I've been looking at all different type of settings, especially with ones with diamonds on the side and down the band and such to give it a but more shine.

Let me know if anybody has any ideas!

Have you considered a halo or are you looking at solitare with side stones (pave) on the band?

Have you considered a halo or are you looking at solitare with side stones (pave) on the band?

I have considered a halo and I like band with the side stones, not just the plain solitaire, I have also been looking at bands that intertwind as well. I suppose I'm looking at a diamond around the .70-.80 in within that 3K range with those specifications I've mentioned?
