Hi, I am going to go view the two following diamonds. I am not familiar with reading the firescope results, so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I also know that I have to pick the one that appeals to me visually the most....the second diamond is also about $1200 more than the first one.

Carat: 1.23
Color: I
Clarity: VS1
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Depth: 61.9%
Table: 56.5%
Crown: 35.1
Pavilion: 40.7

Carat: 1.20
Color: H
Clarity: VS2
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Depth: 61.3%
Table: 58.4%
Crown: 34.3
Pavilion: 40.7

Thanks!

They both look promising, can you get Idealscope images? Which lab report also please?

They are both AGS 000 diamonds. I would post the certificates themselves, but I can''t seem to make them a small enough PDF document to post.

I thought so, no worries. If you want to post the reports you can email them to admin who will help you. As to which to choose, they are both well cut so it depends on your budget and preferences, you are going to view them in person?

Honestly, the first one fits into my budget better, but I like the second one on paper better

) I am going to look at them in person, so unless the second one blows me away, I will probably choose the first. I can see if the jeweler is able to provide an ideal scope image.

This is actually a replacement diamond for one I already have. I have learned a lot since finding pricescope, and my current diamond scored a 5 on the Holloway Cut Adviser. The number itself doesn''t bother me, but now that I have compared my diamond to better cut diamonds, I can completely see the difference. Mine is too deep and it looks too dark in the center, depending on the angle. Anyway.

Well thats great that you will be able to see the diamonds in person and you have two excellent sounding stones to choose from! Once you do actually see the difference between a mediocre cut diamond to a better cut there is no going back is there?!?

I''d go for better color and drop a little in clarity personally.

#2

If I were picking from paper only, I would say that the table on #2 is starting to get a little large (if we are being super picky here). I would say go for #1 based purely on the numbers. A larger table will have less fire and more white light. #1 is in a better range for a more balanced stone.

That said, you may not be able to tell any difference between them, so I would say if not, pcik the cheaper stone.

Good luck!
