I am locked into a jeweler...so I have limited options in terms of upgrading. Please just comment on the following diamond... Thank you!

GIA Cert:
Round Brilliant
Measurements: 6.95 - 6.98 x 4.18 mm
Carat Weight: 1.23
Color Grade: J
Clarity Grade: VS2
Depth: 60.0 %
Table: 59 %
Girdle: Thin to Medium, Faceted
Culet: None
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Crown Angle: 33.5°
Crown Height: 14 %
Pavilion Angle: 41°
Pavilion Depth: 43.5 %
Star length: 50 %
Lower Half: 80 %
Cut Grade: Very Good

HCA: EX, EX, VG, EX = 1.4 Excellent

Personally I prefer a smaller table, but have you seen this stone? My suggestion since you are locked into this jeweler for a trade is to compare it to other stones he has and see how it performs. Also take a look at it in different lighting conditions? The numbers don''t tell the whole story.

The polish is "Good" so it gets a cut grade of "Very Good". If the polish were graded higher (VG or Excellent) the cut grade would be "Excellent". Like Sundial said, try to compare with other diamonds and under different lighting conditions. Good luck.

I would definitely compare to some others to see which you like best before pulling the trigger, as you are locked into this jeweller make this upgrade count! Best of luck and let us know how you get on
