At the ripe old age of 9 1/2, my kitty is going gray!!

She's a tiny little 7lb Mackrel Tabby with white on the tips of all her paws and tail. In the past few month she's developed a little white patch on her forehead on the left arch of her M!!

She's still very active and healthy; every day when FH comes home, he pets her and they play with her sponge balls which bounce all over the place while she chases. She even plays wall ball with her paw!!

I can't help but feel a little sad though, because now I KNOW she is getting older. I'd expect her to live at least another 10 years or more because of her size and she's never been an outdoor kitty, but still. Anyone ever feel that way about their favorite pet?

I rescued her when she was 6 weeks old from a dirty trailer she'd been chased into by a pack of rottys that belonged to my friend's father's used car lot. She's never gotten much bigger, topping out at her "heavy stage" of a whole whopping 8lbs! But she's just adorable!

My 1 yo furbaby Holly looks alot like your kitty!

My 11 yo furbaby Chloe has been going grey for a few years now. She''s mostly white, so you can only really see it on her dark ears that are now turning grey on the back.

I actually took her in for a senior wellness checkup a few weeks ago. That eased my mind a bit as all the bloodwork and urinalysis came back normal. I do give her chondroitin and glucosamine kitty treats to ward off arthritis though. Otherwise, you wouldn''t know she''s an old lady! I hope she has many years left. I used to get teary all the time thinking that she could ''go'' at any time, but the wellness checkup made me feel a lot better. I hope she''s got another 10 years!

Wonder what she would say about you to her friends? (just kidding honey...)

You have been most fortunate to have a pet for so long in your life. One that needed you that instant...and then even more now. I don''t recall your age...but you have had her for at least 1/3 of your life, right?

Well, that image of her paw and that glass is so adorable. Guess she was fishing for an icecube? She really is something to have remained so tiny. Suppose it is hard to see something you think of as a kitten change...but you know what they say...everything improves with age. I bet her coat will just glisten in the sunlight. Like sparkly spun strands of silver.

Yup, she''s my bebe. She is getting better with age, much more personable since we moved into the new house. When she was a kitten no one could touch her but me, now she just doesn''t like to be touched by anyone who drinks alcohol (FH and I don''t, it must make people smell different to her). She''s very sweet and gets played with for about and hour and a half a day, so she''s super active for an older kitty. Except those nighttime crazies still wake FH and I up!!
