Hello,

We are looking for an asscher - and after looking at all 3 sites, the only one that provides all the information necessary is Good Old Gold. We haven''t talked to them, but they sent a video of 4 stones that helped us narrow it down to 2 (one, really, but I don''t have the only vote). They have provide an ASET (I think critical for this cut), ideal scope, and videos etc....

So far, the other 2 sites have provided only pics (several out of focus) and their versions of ''ideal scopes''. They can''t provide ASET images or video....and it doesn''t seem possible to select an asscher with just that information.

We''ve never shopped for diamonds online, and are frankly worried it, but in our state, there aren''t any jewelers with the ability to get good stones (we''ve worked with several jewelers to this end and have found overpriced and poor quality stones).

Has anyone been able to get the same amount of information from JA or WF that we''ve got from Good old Gold? Any words of advice?https://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/images/smilies/34.gif

Hi Brightandshiny, welcome to Pricescope. This article might be of interest to you http://journal.pricescope.com/Articles/61/1/Virtual-Facets-and-patterns%2c-a-Discussion-about-step-cuts-.aspx

also, can you post some of the images so the asscher experts can chime in?

oops, I don''t seem to be able to get the pics from the JA website - any suggestions?

can you post the link?

Yes a link would be great. I bought my asscher from GOG. I can''t wait to see your pics, etc...

I would not post the link unless you have the diamond reserved. Lurkers have been known to take diamonds that are discussed on the forum...

The more information the better.
Sometimes I can make a recommendation with just a picture and an IS/AET image combined with crown height and table size.
Other times it is impossible to call because of lack of information.

Your in good hands with gog and they provide the most information and Jon(gog) and Todd Gray (highperformancediamonds.com) have the best eyes for them out of the PS pros in my opinion.

He speaks the truth. He helped me pick out my asscher back in the day. I hope you can get a pic and the IS/AET image with the crown height, and table size... If given all this, He should be able to tell you if it's kicken or not.. I don't want to put words in his mouth, but if he says it's kicken then it's Storm worthy.....

I might be answering my own question, but I''m having too much trouble trying to post the pics from James Allen. So here are the 2 links from gog:

They did a video for us of these (and 2 others) and I have a favorite. I''m curious to know what you experts think. Thank you in advance for your input!
