Hello lovely people who have helped me SOOO MUCH!

I''ve narrowed down these two choices - same color, big differences...

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6931
- Larger with Fluro

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6386/ -

And a video of them is here

Looking to have her set in a HW inspired Halo - platinum...

The obvious difference is size - but there are pro''s and con''s of both... I think I know based on all the research I''ve been doing...

Would love some opinions - ignoring budget (only way to really decide I think!!)

Thanks to anyone with anything to say!!

flip a coin or buy both and let her decide? :P

While size is a definite difference, I would say the bigger difference is length:width ratio. I like the rectangular cushions so I would say the first one. But it really just depends what you like.

It''s for me!! I can''t decide!

I prefer the square shape of the VVS diamond.

And something else to consider, when it is haloed the small difference in size between the two will become totally unnoticable. Meaning, if you set them both and put the two rings next to each other they will look the same size because the halo will minimize the small difference IMO. But the shap will remain or even be magnified. So do you like elongated or square?

I also personally prefer the square-ish one, especially if you''re going to halo it.

Both look pretty good. I think the 6386 looks better than I thought it would in the video. The size difference is not insignificant even haloed the difference is definitely noticeable. I prefer the cut and shape of the 1.17 over the rest but that is my personal prefernce and ultra pickyness for square outline shape, symmetry and overzealous attention to light return under the table and near the culet. You cannot go wrong with any of them. If I were "nitpicking" as Jon has characterized my comments on comparing one AVC to another, I would take a look at the cross under the table and decide which pattern suits you better, do you want the symmetrical windmill or a little assymetrical windmill but big size difference like in the 1.36.

Medium fluoro wouldn't bother me nor would it be a plus it really isn't going to change the faceup color very much.
Both of the I colored diamonds look great to me I think you would be happy with either.
None of us can really answer this choice go with your feeling.

Yep...definitely length to width ratio is the bigger difference. It does depend if you prefer a rectangular shape or a square shape.

Nothing to add but I love square cushions.

Thanks everyone - I''m leaning towards the smaller of the two - for a few reasons - one of which being saving a over $1k and putting that towards the setting.. I will keep you all posted and thanks again!

I don't think you can go wrong with either, however my favourite is the smaller one.

I prefer the square shape of the 1.17ct.
