First of all...I would demand to know WHAT the jeweler is going to do! I wouldn''t even play around, I''d demand to know right now!! Most jewelers take notes on the ring you drop off...so they should be ethical and prompty replace the set with one of equal value plus a little for suffering. Threaten a law suit if need be.

Second of all, if they don''t -- hopefully you were insure.

Thirdly...you can always call the cops, file a report and get a lawyer!
