Given the same cut/color/clarity etc. Which has the most "fire"?

I think that ideal cut rounds have the best light return, but not necessarily more fire/sparkle. I know that makes no sense. Sorry, I guess you had better defer to the experts!

All have fire, it is just different. Rounds have lots of pin flashes, whereas step cuts have broad flashes and cushions have a mixture. I think princesses and radiants have mostly small pin flashes..

Ideal rounds have the best light return and thus the best sparkle. But fire depends a lot on the stone in question. Step cuts usually have the least light return, so emeralds and asschers are at the bottom of that list. But they also have a certain something that make them irresistible too even though it isn''t as MUCH sparkle as a round.

Ah ok. The diamonds I have been looking at are WF ACA RB and their ACA Princess. But just started browsing GOG site at all their diff cuts etc.

I guess its back to "show me the ring" threads. lol
