Not really.

No, but my girlfriends and I don''t have any really great jewelry - mostly just wedding sets and maybe some studs here and there. If I knew someone with 4ct rings, then I might ask to try them on

Rings - yes!

Sometimes rings but nothing else.

Definite YES to rings (well, with my fellow jewelry-obsessed friends...the others could care less)! I''ve also borrowed bracelets and necklaces before, but never really just "tried them on"...

Yes, my netball team and I get together in the shower and try on each other''s gems!

Once or twice, like when a friend gets a new cool ring or something. Never any other pieces.... My good friend and I have tried on each other''s wedding sets a few times.

Yup.

Nope. I''ve never asked to try theirs and they''ve never asked if they can borrow my jewelry. I do have some really nice pieces that get drooled over, though. I really don''t mind sharing my jewelry or letting them try my stuff, I just don''t think my friends are too into jewelry.

The only person besides me who has tried my rings is dear Ms. Hudson Hawk

I''ve tried on other PSers'' rings at GTGs but my other friends and I haven''t really done that. If a friend asks to see my rings I usually take them off and hand them over. If she tries them on, I don''t mind at all, but that doesn''t happen often. Maybe friends feel like it''s not polite to try on other people''s engagement rings? When PSers get together though, that''s a whole other story!

The only eng. ring I've tried on is my best friend's and that's because we've known each other for over 20 years. She has an antique diamond in an illusion setting. She even let me look at it under my loop.

Other than her, it'd be completely inappropriate in my circle of friends to do such a thing. Two of my friends have given me a close up look (with excitement) when I complemented them but other than that, I've avoided bringing up the topic b/c a few times that's ended in disaster (like one ended up being a CZ rather than a diamond!).

No .. not really. Most of my close friends are guys.

My little guys have tried on my rings. I wonder what size my son''s finger is because my diamond looks massive on his little chubby hand. lol

sadly no - I don''t have friends who really like jewelry

I won''t let unmarried friends try on my engagement ring/wedding ring--I believe the superstition that it''s bad luck to try it on! However, married friends have asked to try on my ring, and it''s not a problem. They know not to touch the diamonds :)

Yes, all the time! My girlfriends know I adore everything jewellery related and they proudly show me anything new and we will play with it because they know we will "wax lyrical" for ages about the new bauble!! LOL

Even my male relatives and friends will drag over their significant others to get my approval (always given, lol!). I love the excitement and joy that ANY piece of jewellery brings! Isn''t that what it is all about?

No. I just admire the jewelry of strangers.

She told me! lol

Depends on the piece.

Fun stuff - sure, swap, borrow, borrow.

The "big" pieces, though, try on (with a carpet and a pillow underneath) for a few minutes is fine but not borrow.

Beacon!! Nice to see you here. How are you doing?

No, none of my friends really have jewelry.

I've always played with my mom's jewelry, she has a ton. I still love to go through her jewelry and try it on.

ETA: My friends and even people at school have asked to try on my jewelry and purses lol.

Not really, none of my friends are into jewellery. My mum and my sisters ''tried to try on'' my rings but couldn''t fit my 4.5 size.

we do with rings, not with other jewellery.

My sister and I borrow each other''s jewelry (xcept rings - different ring sizes). I even borrow and lend my jewelry to my best friend of over 40 years. That shows you how much I love and trust them. So therefore, I have no problems with just 2 people trying on my jewelry and I trying on theirs. All the rest no way!

Yep! My best friend and I are diamond divas so we try on each others stuff and sometimes we borrow off each other for special events!
