Micropavé-Set Intertwined Ring in Platinum (1/4 ct. tw.)

My girlfriend absolutely loves this engagement ring setting from blue nile, and they only sell it with a diamond purchase so looks like my options just got a lot more limited. The setting is sized for 1ct - 3ct diamonds, so I''m debating the best 1ct eye clean value for money, assuming BN can''t be trusted to verify an SI1 for me so I''ll need a VS quality.

GIA Ideal cut, I, VS2, 1.04ct, ex polish/sym

Do you guys think this is a good stone to choose? I definately want an ideal cut, the angles seem fine and it''s $1500 cheaper than there signature line for the same GIA grades. Is the I color going to show more against a platinum setting with H color pave? Do you guys see anything else worth considering? Thanks a lot!

I plugged your specs into the diamond search engine here and it found two Whiteflash ACAs, both I VS2 per AGS.

Their weights were 1.03 and 1.04 CT.
Their HCA scores were 1.0 and 1.2.

Your Bluenile stone has a virtually equivalently-excellent HCA score of 1.3, and falls dead center in the middle of both the GIA and the AGS windows. Very sweet to a diamond nerd like me.

All three stones have no fluorescence.

Both WF stones are over $5300 with the PS discount.

I'd grab the Bluenile stone quickly since it is only $4577.

The only caveat is if someone can visualize if an Idealscope image would reveal any concerns based on the proportions of the BN stone:

Depth 62%
Table 55%
Crown Angle 34.5 degrees
Pavilion Angle 40.8 degrees.

Bluenile does not provide IS or ASET images.

Although you can''t say for sure, these numbers are pretty '' safe''.

Numbers look good to me. Good luck.

Yes, some of the safest. They have a good return policy, so I''d go for it.
