Girdle measurements

I''m noticing on some of the AGS reports (can''t recall whether they are post-July 1 or not) that the upper number for the girdle measurements are up in the 3''s.

Is this a new measurement, or a new parameter? I thought that the upper limit for a med-thn girdle was to be around 1.8.
