I keep having nightmares that I''ll forget something, leave something out, or offend someone terribly!
We are now down to the wire (less than two weeks!!!!!!)
We still need to find gifts for our parents and a gift for his brother who will be our officiant.
He wants to get his brother a nice bottle of scotch...
ok, that leaves the parents. I''m at a complete block here.

what did/what will you give your parents as gifts for your wedding?

Thanks!
Tybee

we got our parents these beautiful photo albums from red envelope, they were 9x12 sizing with black parchment kind of insides and the album itself was silver and i had them engraved with our married couple names and the date of the wedding. they LOVED them and then they didn''t have to worry about going and getting an album for the wedding. we have 3 sets of ''parents'' as greg''s parents are divorced and remarried, so everyone got an album. we passed them out at our rehearsal dinner after thanking our parents for doing such a great job with us..hehe.

i love RE for stuff like this and their engraving only takes about 3 extra days so it worked out great with timing since i had kind of procrastinated thinking for too long on what to do!

I gave the parents nice big picture frames that would go with their decor, and had pictures blown up after the wedding.

i got a waterford crystal frame. it''s a frame, but a special-wouldn''t-get-it-yourself one.

Thanks ya''ll--
So picture/frames seem to be the way to go.. unless you are a crappy fmil like poor SDL!
Thanks! I think I really like the photo book idea. I am full steam last minute now. We''ll see what I can whip together!

We took the picture frame idea a step further and purchased mini versions (15 page albums) of our wedding album for my parents and inlaws. They we each able to choose their own photos to fill it and they loved it! It was great that our photographer offered this option and that it was reasonable ($150 per album I think).

Hey Tybee!

We were thinking about letting our parents pick which wedding picture they wanted and having it framed for them. I will most likely do our own album, so that wasn''t an option for them.

Best of Luck! Are you sure you don''t want to elope?

Hi Jorman,

Eloping was what I wanted all along! But then his darn brother has to marry us...
and my nephews would be so disappointed... I''m an only daughter...
blah blah blah!
We tried to make it really hard for people to come by making it a destination wedding,
but our darn friends and family are all coming! 65 people! I might faint.
Your pictures were so lovely.. oh, I can long though, can''t I?

Tee hee... just a matter of days until we get on that plane!!!

Oh Tybee! You have to learn to say no! I am an only child and I still got away with it!

I wish you all the best in packing, flying, arriving, checking in, getting ready and GETTING MARRIED!
Don''t forget to send loads of pictures! I am so excited for you!

What are we going to talk about next? Baby showers in a few years, I guess....
