Anyway, they're divorced now. No surprise, huh?

Ooof. What a prize.

Last Christmas, my husband planned to give me cash. A fine gift from anyone else, but my husband? It made sense to him since I was saving for something big, but it was still kind of goofy.

Normally he's pretty good about gift-giving, and we keep Amazon wish lists so my presents (other than the cash) are never completely random. One thing I wish he liked buying is jewelry. After we purchased my five-stone, he said, "is this it for jewelry?"

"For the rest of my life?" I asked. He nodded. It was a serious question.

Two years ago my hubbs gave me a card with a check in it for a tattoo. I''d mentioned at some point I''d like a tattoo, finally this summer I did get one on my foot. I''m pretty sure this year I''m getting something useful. Just a feeling. Thankfully he makes up for it at my b-day by visiting the local LV store.

Yeah, my DH is semi-impairIed. He has done ok in the past, but lately, I just give him a list.

I just found out last night his gift to himself this year is a new Harley. Uh huh. I guess blowing
my stack on this little surprise has him feeling a wee bit guilty.

I think he''s been too busy picking out his Harley that he hasn''t had time to shop for me.

Mine is semi-impaired. It is weird, but it seems like the more expensive it is the better he does. Our first Christmas together he got me a really nice head unit for my car. After that we were more serious and he bought me diamonds for Christmas. Since we have been married he no longer gives me diamonds and one day I asked why and he said that all those times that he gave me the bracelet, earrings and necklace were in the hopes that it would shut me up about a diamond ring. Once I got the ring he said that I was never getting another diamond. We will see about that.

One year for V-day he got me a yellow nightie which I though odd, but then he got me every single thing in that collection in the same color. I asked him about it and he said that he went in and pointed to it and said give me that in small and everything that goes with it. I got 5 pair of yellow undies.
He has told me that he has walked into a department store and held up his hands for length and width and asked a female sales associate to pick me out something. When I found out I was upset and told him not to do that and that I wanted him to put thought into the gifts he gives me. So, last year with diamonds out of the question and no sales associate to use he was left to his own resources and I got Marley and Me the book, gold satin sheets, which btw are for both of us and suck because your blankets slide off the side of the bed. And something else I cannot remember.

It will be fun to see what our gift challenged SOs get us this year.
