EGL is know to be a bit lax on their grading. It would be a good idea to get plenty of extra info to confirm the specs. Even though an EGL typically carries a bit lower price tag, you need to be sure you know what you''re getting color and clarity wise---the savings may not really be a savings at all if the specs are off enough.

I do not have any issues with a EGL USA cert as long as the diamond matches the grading report through inspection by an independent appraiser.
Thats my thoughts on it also.
But if I trusted the vendor to grade the diamond and give me an honest opinion on the accurancy of the grade I''d consider that.
It really depends on the stone are we talking $500 or $10k.....
