GIA reports states “sapphire”. Does this means natural sapphire?

Hi guys. I’m about to purchase a sapphire and I’m double checking with PSers here.

The GIA report states

Species Natural Corundum
Variety Sapphire
Origin. Sri Lanka


This is a natural sapphire correct? Otherwise Sri Lanka would not be mentioned right?

I’m questioning because I have seen GIA wrote “natural sapphire” so this is a little different.

I actually didn’t know GIA provided an origin.

That’s great to know, I have only had one origin report done and it was AGL a decade ago!
