I recently posted about an SI1 diamond, I have seen the stone and think it is beautiful, but now I want to know if anyone sees issues with the below specifications:

Oval Brilliant
Measurements:9.33 x 7.07 x 4.22 mm, Carat Weight:1.79 carat, Color Grade: D, Clarity Grade: SI1

Depth: 59.7% Table:61% Girdle: Very Thin to Slightly Thick, Faceted Culet: None
Polish: Good, Symmetry: Good, Fluorescence:Medium Blue

I realize it is a personal opinion on what makes one happy, but being a newbie to the diamond game, sure could use some advice.

The only possible red flag I see on the report is the girdle thickness. Have the Very Thin part of the girdle checked out to make sure it is not at risk for chipping. Sometimes that section of the girdle is very small and isn''t an issue, other times it could be exposed, such as at at the tip of the oval, and be a risk. Ask the vendor holding the diamond to evaluate it for you.

Ditto Jet, also I would suggest looking at as many ovals as possible in order to make sure this is the right one. Also ask if you can view the diamond away from the store lights to see if you like how it looks and behaves in plain daylight. The table and depth are of a similar size, usually it is preferable to have the table less than the depth percentage but if the stone appeals to you then compare as above to make sure this is larger tabled look appeals to you.
