There are quite a few companies that will offer laser inscription services if you would like it. Talk to your jeweler about it and they should be able to help you out.
I wouldn't consider that a factor in making my decision to purchase a stone or not because you can always get it inscribed after you purchase it. I killed two birds with one stone by sending my center stone to Dave Atlas for an appraisal, and also had him do the inscribing for an additional (nominal as I recall) fee.
