Hello,
After doing a search on PS to learn the differences between GIA, I have come across several negative topics about GIA grading system as a whole. Most are dated prior to 2007. My question is, has GIA made any changes since then to address the problems? The reason I am asking is b/c I am looking at a GIA EX/EX stone that was graded in 03/2007. Can I trust it? Here is the link, in case you need to see the cert: http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-SI2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1035076.asp

Not sure why, but I feel more comfortable with an AGS Ideal.

Thanks

Regardless of what laboratory graded the diamond you are considering, you should always consult the services of a qualified independent Gemologist for verification. There is a list of appraisers available at the top of this page via the Resources / Appraisers link option.

Thats a good idea. Thanks!
