I'm fairly new to the forum and finally have a substantive question. I bought this from bn and am very pleased with how everything turned out. I got curious and started using a loupe and a "makeshift" microscope. I found one crystal inclusion that was the same as the grading report, but I still haven't found the knot that's supposed to be in the middle of the table. I also found a set of two crystals that I would have expected on the diagram along with a few pinpoints (would have just made mention of the pinpoints in the grading write up if it was me). Please take a look at the photos and I'd like to hear your opinions. The whole thing has been a fun and enlightening process. RB 1.54ct J VS2 1.7hca

They don't draw on every single inclusion, so I doubt it's an error. Also, grading is subjective though GIA is most strict and consistent. It's normal for things to maybe sometimes be off a bit. That's why they offer regrading services.

I'm glad you're having fun learning about your diamond. It really is a fun hobby! I love getting to "know" my stones.

Thanks Madelise. I haven't heard of a regrading process and will check on that. It's really not an issue, but more of a head scratcher for me. I should be able to see this knot. Hopefully some more people can chime in on any other experiences they've had or ideas.

Same they don't plot all however a VS stone should be pretty clean with 10x loupe
