Sold GIA-D/SI1| never set | well-matched pair of pears

I bought these from Blue Nile a couple years ago to use as side stones for a spinel, but that project went on the back burner, and has just not made it’s way forward. They’ve been sleeping in the safe ever since, so I’m putting out feelers to see if anyone might be interested. If not, I’m happy to hang on to them for something down the road.

That would be helpful, wouldn’t it? I’d like to get $675, and I’ll cover insured shipping within the U.S.

I should have mentioned that I may also be open to trades. I don’t have anything specific in mind that I am aggressively hunting for; however, may be open to settings/semi-mounts for some of my other loose stones, or possibly some different diamond side-stones for other projects that are more ‘front burner’.

I did think this morning about one particular stone trade I’d be very interested in ... if anyone happens to have a pair they are on the fence about letting go: a small-ish pair of antique cushion-cut (or similar) diamonds or possibly white/ivory or even very light yellow sapphires or spinels ... something in the 4-4.7mm range.

I didn’t have any natural light left by the time I was able to capture these videos & pictures, so I can try again tomorrow, as I had a really hard time getting them to focus on a white/light background and even on a dark background to some degree, but hopefully you can see them clearly and the two videos give an idea of how they perform.

Pulling these pretties out and playing with them makes me a little sad to let them go, so I won’t be upset if they don’t sell.

Thank you; they really are pretty performers in person. I originally planned to set them with my cushion Burmese spinel, but kept waffling that they were maybe just a smidge too big and held onto them to eventually set with a larger colored stone, and I just haven’t gotten around to that, so ... if someone can use them in the mean time, great. If not, maybe I’ll move that project ahead of others and put them to good use, or see about trading them back to BN for something else.

I had to come back to admire the photos , those videos did not disappoint! Oh I wish I could make these mine.

I think these would be perfection in a twin set bangle like this one from JbG I’ve loved. Just sayin.

They look very pretty! I’m trying to get a size perspective of them with something 6mm-ish for what I have in mind! Not sure if you have anything to put next to them but I’m going to play around with some cutouts (I’m terrible at visualizing) to see if they’ll work

Thank you. I totally understand where you’re coming from. What shape are you thinking ... round, cushion, etc.? I’ll see what I have and try to take a few more pics or video later today.

Thank you for being so accommodating!! But please disregard as I got too excited and jumped the gun bc (reading is fundamental) these are D's which really may be too much of a contrast for my H/I stones I hope they sell fast!

I forgot (and adding in case anyone else is pondering the same) that I did have a couple pictures from ~2 years ago I took of them with the spinel, which measures 6.6 x 6.2 mm for reference. It’s raining here now, so if it clears up later and we get some decent natural daylight (and I have time between other things), I’ll try to snap a couple more pictures.

I also did take a couple pictures last night of them with my AGS K ACA. I was surprised that I noticed far less difference in color than I’d expect, but lighting may have played a part in that as well as the ACA facing up whiter ... hmmm
