GIA Cert question??

I have a question for ya.

With my GIA cert I received a smaller cert (about the size of a large bookmark) that summarizes the info on my cert. It does not have the picture that shows where the inclusions are, just the diamond number info and GIA inscriptin #. It looks to be a duplicate of the info. It was printed by the GIA and has their logo on it.

Anyone have a clue what this info is? I know I should just call my jeweler and ask but I think I like you guys better LOL! Let me know what you think??

I got one of those in addition to the full GIA report...that is just a summary of the diamond, but it's not the report itself...you'll need to contact your jeweler to get the full report. (sorry

That''s the packing list that GIA sends out with their reports. Mr. Schachter was the name of GIA''s customer who ordered the examination of this particular stone. Dealers like these because they are smaller and it''s easier to catalog a large number of them while keeping your original report in perfect condition. These cards don''t usually get delivered to the final customer and they aren''t really very useful for consumer pruposes. It''s sort of like the tag on your mattress. You should feel free to discard it.

I keep trying to attach a scanned copy of this report but I keep getting an error that says: file extension is not allowed or doesn''t exist
I am brand new to this posting a picture thing. I just learned how this week! Anyone have any advice?? I have tried reanaming it, resizing it, making it smaller. Help??

The mattress police are a little behind schedule in their death sentences. In the end, everybody dies and this just might have something to do with it. Hmmmm.

It means that your GIA report was ordered by someone in Israel. There''s a reasonable chance that it was cut there but it''s certainly not a guarantee. Diamonds travel around the world quite easily and very quickly.

I am sure my diamond was cut in Israel. The jeweler we purchased it from has all of their diamonds cut there. I don''t know if that is good or bad or neither. Thank you again for the info.
