Hi Everyone,

Please could someone advise on this diamond, I have been offered it for 13,950 USD. Where are those diamond cut experts :)

Thank you all so much for the great advise already on this boards. I may just walk away from this one altogether as a 65% table is too large.

Don't just walk away from this one, run away quickly. Low crown + extremely large table = not nice RB.

Ditto! Run :errrr:

Horrible. Please do not consider anything less than GIA Excellent cut. That in itself is a broad category, and I'd only be okay with about maybe a third of those. So start with GIA Excellent and then we can help you narrow down the better ones.

Some guidelines to get you started would be:

Table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

i think u paid for the D color and VVS1.......... but not really for the cut.

Unless you are absolutely set on VVS1 here are a few D-VS2 to consider.
They are all AGS0, Super-Ideal, Hearts and Arrows diamonds (the cream of the crop):

I own a CBI diamond myself and it is spectacular. Wink of High Performance Diamonds is such a pleasure to work with.

From their website:
What We Do
We plan, cut and polish the world's strictest, most consistent brand of high-performance diamonds. Flawlessly crafted with three-dimensional precision, their visual results exceed every known performance metric, achieving levels yet unmeasured and ungraded by diamond laboratories.

There are many, many more diamonds available, but if you don't mind paying for exceptional cut quality, the four diamonds that I posted above should be worthy of your consideration.

Thank you all for getting back to me. I will take a look at the CBI stones now.

Horrible!... :knockout: :knockout:
