I have looked at many many posts about tiffany''s on this board (and i''m sure you all know there are VERY MANY of them) but i haven''t seen my particular question addressed very well. If you do end up buying a stone from tiffany''s (and there have been enough pro-con debates about this elsewhere also) is there a way to check on the cut by calling GIA, asking tiffany''s or something like that? my thought is that if someone makes the decision that the tiffany''s original setting or name or something is worth the money, is there a way for them to maximize the quality of the stone they get just comparing tiffany''s stones, or do you sort of just get what you get there? I am not sure how well this question makes sense, so hopefully you all understand what i am asking. sorry for the millionth post about tiffany''s though, i''m sure at this point most of you don''t want to talk about them anymore, but i would really appreciate your help if you know something about this!

Tiffany diamonds come with a diamond certificate from Tiffany & Co. They used to come with a GIA report as well, but have stopped using GIA.

The Tiffany information will have the cut information. We have recently had someone on here who did look until they found what would be considered an ideal cut stone. And for my money, I''d be requiring that as well!
