So I was at a loss on how to propose after I got the ring sorted out. My plan is very simple I guess. I am cooking a fancy meal, white table cloth, candles, Wine etc. She knows I am cooking but she dosen't know I am going crazy with it. Her sister will keep her out of the house while I get ready with some christmas shopping. I have a desert tray that I will put the ring on surrounded by flowers. So when I bring the "special" desert out and lift off the cover I will surprise her with the ring.

So is it lame that I'm asking her in our kitchen? Any advice or suggestions....

Anytime you put in some thought it's never lame! (Although even spur-of-the-moment ones can be very romantic too!)

That sounds great! Very personal; very nice. Good luck :) Just don't forget to actually ask the question... ;-)
