I have learned a great deal on this site....thanks to all those who lend their advice. I am getting close to a final selection of a stone for an engagement ring and I am looking for some honest and helpful opinions about the following stone. The stone is round and has an EGL Belgium cert. I have read and am aware about the dangers of an EGL cert but my personal inspection of the stone has been very pleasing. The final purchase will be dependent on an independent appraisal to make sure the cert is accurate and reliable.
2.08ct
Color: I
Clarity: VS2
8.24 X 8.21 X 5.09
Symetry: Excellent
Depth: 61.9%
Table: 57%
Crown: 15%
Pavilion: 43%
Girdle: Thin to Thick polished
Finish: Very Good
Photoluminescence: Slight
This stone is on the low end of my preferred color range but I am hoping that the ideal cut will make up for the color grade...that is if the color grade is accurate according to the appraisal.
Any comment or suggestions would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance
