Getting an antique ring repaired. Where in NYC?

I bought an antique ring on ebay, which should be here in a couple of days. The ring is platinum, according to the seller. Apparently, at some point the shank of the ring wore out and split and the metal used to weld the repair was not platinum. You can see it in the attached picture. So I guess my question is two-fold. First, how easy (and how expensive) is it to fix the previous repair and make the shank uniformly platinum? Second, any recommendations in NYC to have it done? Thanks!

Truthfully, the yellow gold blur at the bottom inside of the shank looks like the remains of gold sold which at one time held a sizing adjustment spring or butterfly inside the shank. That piece of metal was removed, but no one polished out the old gold solder. I think that mark could reasily be removed by most any jeweler. The ring does not appear to be overly thin and without a photo of the outer surface of the bottom of the shank I can't be sure about what needs to be done, but it looks pretty simple and not much of anything right now in that one photo. Possbibly IDJ on 47th st or GoodOldGold in Long Island would be willing to fix the ring.

Thanks so much, David! I'm actually more concerned about the mark on the side, which would be visible when worn. Could that also be pretty easily fixed?

I'd ask ERD or ID they both have benches. So does GOG.

the pair of parallel lines on the outside of the shank are original and part of the standard design of that ring. I think that is what you mean. Correct?

That is what I meant! The seller thought it was a later repair and different metal but if it is part of the original design, I certainly don't want to change it.
