Get Ready for PS 2.0

Here it comes.

Notice the notice at the top of the screen.

Pricescope 2.0 is ready for another try.

Tonight May 26th at 11:59 pm CST any posts made will not make it to the new system.

It takes about 24 to 48 hours for the transfer to occur and then magically you will all see the new system.

We have increased performance and added a few improvement based on your suggestions.

Thank you everyone for your patience as we try this again.

PS 1.0 will continue run until all 2.5 million posts get transfered over to 2.0 and the DNS ( Domain Name Server) will forward you to the new Pricescope.

We chose to let the forum run so you can all still enjoy your discussion. Just remember they will not make it to Pricescope 2.0 after midnight tonight.

Admin, is the following correct? . . .

At midnight tonight all posts that are in the 1.0 bucket at that moment will be poured into the 2.0 bucket.

Then over the transition period when 2.0 appears anything posted there is safely in the new 2.0 bucket forever, but if 1.0 temporarily reappears anything posted there will never be moved to the 2.0 bucket.

Right?

The goal is not to go back to 1.0. Which means that everything in 2.0 that everyone posts once they see it will remain there forever.

Keeping PS 1 up will help significantly with the changeover. I think some people got a bit edgy over the new version because they were in their 2nd day of withdrawal.
