Anyone see him cry during the press conference after his wife''s surgery today?
It was sooooooooo sad!!!! I can tell he loves her a lot!

I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Luckily it sounds like the surgery went very well.

" HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston surgeon says former first lady Barbara Bush is making "an excellent recovery" from heart surgery to repair her aortic valve.

Dr. Gerald Lawrie said Thursday that the 83-year-old was expected to be released from the intensive care unit at The Methodist Hospital on Saturday. She underwent 2 1/2 hours of heart surgery on Wednesday morning.

Lawrie says Mrs. Bush awakened earlier than most patients do after undergoing the "very routine procedure" and started joking with the doctors.

Lawrie said Mrs. Bush is expected to stay in the hospital another week for observation."

Methodist is a great hospital and I know she probably got the best care possible!

That was a very moving video. They''ve always seemed like a very loving couple, and I''m glad that so far, she is doing well.
