I'll be going to Prague and Austria this July and was wondering is there any reputable yet affordable place that I can get colored stones? I've read that Prague is the place for Bohemian garnet and that may be a good souvenir to get to remind me of the trip (it's actually my honeymoon 
and I don't think I will be going there again anytime soon).
But since I'm a noob when it comes to gems, I am rather wary of being duped.
So, I would really appreciate it if anyone can give me some pointers, what to look for, where to go, etc. I'll be going Prague, Salzburg, Salzkammergut & Vienna.
Or is this a bad idea? It need not be a garnet, of course. I was just thinking it would be nice to get something blingy there
