Gassan Diamond Factory in Amsterdam

I'm going to be visiting Amsterdam (and some other European cities) during a short break for my birthday.
I wondered if anyone had ever been and whether the factory tour was worth a visit?
I can take pics and report back hopefully!
Also aiming to go to Venice, Rome and Paris - is there anywhere of interest (not just shops) to visit there?

I never went to the factory tour, but I have been diamond shopping in Amsterdam.
Totally underwhelmed.
We stopped in a few stores ( there's not that many) and the largest stone we could find was about .80ct.
Although the business started in Amsterdam, Antwerp has been the European Diamond Cutting Capitol since WWII.
If you will be hitting Antwerp, there's a pretty cool, small diamond district

No not Antwerp this time, and we aren't going to shop -not that I know of! My DF has been a "gentleman of leisure" for the last 15 months so just the trip is enough at the moment.

Some pics from today. We had the tour, which was quite interesting. More a sales pitch. We were shown some diamonds including small yellowish SI2 and a 0.5 carat P1 (pique 1) diamond. There was a 2.2 carat D colour SI1 Gassan121 which was €67000!
We asked her about cut quality and she couldn’t answer

I was on a river cruise a few years ago that stopped in Amsterdam. A lady we met wanted to go diamond shopping, but unfortunately on the day, I was unwell.

She went, bought a half carat I I1 for over £3000 and thought she’d got a bargain I didn’t disillusion her because she was happy.

So worth it! Loved looking at the jewelry and then afterwards we had a private meeting looking at trays of gorgeousness, it was very fun.
