I too think it would be a great size, and that's a nice diamond. (which leads me to a friendly suggestion for possible future reference. when enquiring about a stone, if you call it a solitaire, most people will think you are talking about a setting, not a diamond)

.98 is a lovely size for a 4.5 sized hand. I have a stone that is just over a carat and I''m a 4.25 and I think it looks great on me. The stone you picked out is also stunning!!

A diamond!

Seriously, diamond, stone, or the actual cut (i.e. Asscher, round, etc.) can all be used. Solitare is a type of setting, usually very simple in style, with just a single stone set in it.
