this next one is a .71 A cut above hearts and arrows from Whiteflash I have been eyeing for weeks now as well  $3600 hca 1.0

what we have is a $900 difference to go down 1 color and 1 clarity...
this question is for you cut nuts out there... which one would you go with and why?

thanks
:)

Jonas, a cut nut will tell you that those two stones are equal in cut quality! Only you can decide whether you want to spend the extra money to get the G VS1. I have G VS1 for my ring stone, so that is obviously what I would choose! However, I also have ACA stones which are wonderful as well! You cannot go wrong with either. You just have to decide whether $900 is going to matter 25 or 50 years from now (assuming it is within your budget).

gotcha.. well said..
i guess i have this teency weency fair of the h color... i have read extensive posts in here about the h and to me the answers are like 50/50 as to if people think they would rather go with a g...

I think this is the deciding factor - all things being the same in terms of performance, if you are content with both diamond specs.

In the overall scheme of things, is $900 worth saving or spending??? You will know best what works for your situation.

Best of luck with your selection --- both look amazing!

Well, what kind of setting do you want?

I honestly wouldn't worry about going from a VS1 to a VS2, as long as there are no visible inclusions. But only you know how sensitive you are to color. Some people are bothered by any little bit of tint but some don't even notice or actually prefer it.

Jonas, I am finding some better stones for you and hope you haven't bought one yet. But you need to reserve immediately.

yes! these! stargurl, my original thought regarding your original choices is that i personally wouldn't go for an H and so i much prefer the G, but the VS1 clarity does nothing for me so i would rather go VS2 and go up in size or color. diamondseeker has found some AWESOME options in my opinion - the perfect balance!!

Hi, I'd save the $ by going down to the VS2 and I'd for sure go with an ACA if you can find one. I've had two and they were amazing. They would always be my first choice. And, I just wanted to address the HCA...the score is a weeding tool. I owned one diamond that had an HCA of .50 and it wasn't any better than the two I had that were just over HCA 1 ... Those two stones may have been around 1.4ish. I'd have to look at the certificates to check the exact scores, but overall anything under a 2 should be fabulous.

Whoops! I think they had a major computer error on the WF site and those prices of the last two stones I posted were not correct when I posted them! They have now been corrected to the right prices! So sorry!!!

And yes, HCA is not necessary for WF ACA or GOG Hearts and Arrows. They are both very top cut quality!
