G,H,I color melees on Halo affect E color center stone?

Hi there, I am thinking of changing into a halo setting. To my understanding(pls correct me if I am wrong) melees are usually of commercial grade, G,H,I color. However my centre stone is .80 carat E color, will the 2-3 pointer G,H,I color melees appear yellowish? or bring down my center stone color? If so, where can I obtain higher color grade melees? but I only needs like 20-40pcs (halo and maybe on the shank). Is that a ridiculous thought? as I believe that jeweller usually purchase them in much larger quantity. thanks!

As a general rule, you want to keep melee within two color grades of the center stone. For your E center, that would mean G or higher.

Talk to the jeweler making the setting, they should be able to get melee diamonds in whatever color you need.

Melees within 2 color grade difference is the norm.

Usual grades for melees should be F/G and the H/I, so the F/G should work for you.

Yes the general rule is to keep within 2 colour grades with melee and centre stones, talk to your jeweller who might be able to source you some good melee in the colour grades which would work for your centre stone.
