Hi,
I need some advice choosing between these 2 diamonds. The G color one looks a lot better from the photos. (ideal scope , h&A looks clearer too. ) Is this because of the equipment itself or it really is because of the diamond characteristics ? Which diamond would you choose ? This would be the center stone of my engagement ring !

The certificates are here :

Thanks for your help!

Both are ACA's and will be equally gorgeous! I am sure both idealscope images are great but without the link to the stones, I can't see them. G VS is my sweet spot for round brilliants, so that would probably be my choice as I really don't care to pay for F color.

They are both smashing! I would let price be the decider, then.

Are they priced the same? One is F VS2 and the other is G VS1 and about the same diameter, so face up the same. The G VS1 does hit the magic 7.0 mm diameter though. If the price is the same, within $500, then I'd go for the whiter eye clean stone. My thinking, as I'm not a color snob, why not get the better/rarer color if all other things being equal. Color and size are visible, assuming both excellent cuts, which they are as ACAs. Either way, you've got yourself a gorgeous diamond, can't go wrong with a WF ACA of almost any combo.

Thank you for your responses, it's good to know that I won't be off by choosing either one .

The left is 1.28 F VS2
The Right is 1.33 G VS1
1.33 ct is about $800 more,I was more inclined to 1.28ct F just because I always see DEF in same rank as colorless and VS1,VS2 same rank as well. (Although I don't know how accurate my idea of rank is right) However, when I look at the ideal scope image, the 1.33 G looks nicer, I wonder if this is because of the difference in lab equipment or really is because of the difference in characteristics.
Also in the certificate, where it shows that 1.28 F VS2 has cloud and crystal that looks more substantial than 1.33ct G VS1. The certificate of the 1.28ct F VS2 one even has a note "additional clouds are not shown"
Am I being to picky or does the cloud and crystal showing in the certificates really affect the overall of the diamond ? and maybe that is why the image of 1.33 ct G looks better?

I think you'd be best served by asking WF these questions, the gemologist should pull both stones so you can ask them in hand. It's hard to tell from these photos, but I think I see what you mean, I just don't know if you can see that in real life or if it's photographic set up differences (although I'm sure they try to minimize this). I would also be concerned about the "additional clouds not shown" and given your choice, should go with the more transparent and clear stone, so the cut shines the brightest in all lighting conditions. If there isn't a real visible difference, then ask about the color. Hope that helps!
