Fur babies causing climate change?

Quick! Everyone put on their disquise!

Great.

Because we need MORE reasons for people to treat or think of animals as a nuisance or property or something to "deal with."

Animals are living sentient beings.

ETA: They deserve to be on this Earth as much as we do. And unlike them, we humans CAN control how many children we have.

Theyre not wrong. It says
"The problem lies with the meat-filled diets of kitties and pooches, according to the study by UCLA geography professor Gregory Okin.
Dogs and cats are responsible for 25 to 30 percent of the impacts of meat production in the United States, said Orkin."

Cows are really the problem. And bulldozing rain forest to grow food for the cows. I'm certainly never going to become a vegan or vegetarian, but to ignore the fact that eating meat directly effects the climate would be foolish.
That said, blaming it on pets instead of humans is pretty silly.

Cue DF coming in here to say climate change doesn't exist!

It's the tagline/subject line and the whole tone of the article that bothers me. It buries the REAL information in there, that it's about the DIET, the manufacturing process, etc.

They spend the first few paragraphs talking about pet ownership and "tough choices" etc.

Yup, its total click bait lol.

Huh? The best argument you have is that Al Gore uses a lot of electricity? o_O:lol-2:

Consensus of scientists, that humans have biologically, climatically, and even geologically made our mark on this planet. So the answer is yes, Dancing Fire. Al Gore uses his home for both private residential use AND as his business office. He also has additional security concerns given he is a former VP. So comparing his house consumption to only residential houses is not apples to apples. But yeah he flies A LOT.
