Jim died. His will provided $40,000 for an elaborate funeral.

As the last guests departed the affair, his wife Sharon turned to her
oldest and dearest friend. ''Well, I''m sure Jim would be pleased,'' she
said. ''I''m sure you''re right,'' replied Brenda, who lowered her voice
and leaned in close. ''How much did this really cost?''

''All of it,'' said Sharon . ''Forty thousand.''

''No!'' Brenda exclaimed. ''I mean, it was very nice, but $40,000?''
Sharon answered, ''The funeral was $6,500. I donated $500 to church. The
whiskey, wine and snacks were another $500. The rest went for the
Memorial Stone.''

Brenda computed quickly. ''$32,500 for a Memorial Stone? My God, how big
is it?''
"Four and a half carats!"

A friend before he died made his wife promise to bury him with all his money. Finally the day came and he passed away. After the funeral another friend came up to the wife and asked "Did you really bury him with all his money?" "Of course" said the wife, "I wouldn''t break my promise, I wrote him and check and stuck it in his casket."

True story.
At the funeral of my bf''s Dad, his brother in law didn''t know how to tie a tie. The man must have owned that tie for 20 years, never ironed it (or washed it), and the creases from the way it was hung pre-tied made it impossible to tie again.

So I turned to the funeral director and asked him, John can you help him tie his tie?
He said, Sure, lie down...
