What kinds of activities do you guys do for fun at home other than watch tv, movies, video games and cards?

Board games! Love them. Also, I like crafting (knitting and quilting, mostly), cooking, baking, and reading.

And pricescope, of course.

my DH has pretty bad ADD and I''m an insomniac, so we''re all about fun at home. Haha.

We like scrabble (even though I win all the time haha), monopoly, life. But, when we are really bored, we play the A-Z game. This is when we''re lying in bed at night trying to go to sleep. Haha. It always works.

There''s a couple of varieties. One is "I''m going to beach" You start with "I''m going to the beach and I''m bringing an Apple" The next person, "I''m going to the beach and I''m bringing an Apple and a Banana." and so on and so forth until you get to the end of the alphabet. It gets really hard at about O when you have to repeat everything before it. Haha.

Or, we''ll go through the alphabet and list countries, cities, car names, etc. It''s amazing how much you know and aren''t aware of!

Or, we play "Who am I?" It''s like twenty questions with only yes or no answers and the person has to guess who you are.

I like to crochet, play cello, read philosophy, learn foreign languages, cook a ton.

DH likes to work on cars, sleep (haha), go online, eat a ton.

And the cats (3 of them) always keep us busy. We like to curl up with them and read. :-)

I''m not very good at cooking so I don''t. I do read though and work on paint by numbers. It''s fun to see the progress.

I like to bake and knit and do crafts. We have friends over a lot. And we listen to NPR.

Snuggling is a nice thing to do at home too. Said the newlywed.

I like to bake, and then exercising is a great way to recover! Also, playing with the pup, taking her for walks, and of course reading.

We like to take the dog on walks. We love to listen to books on tape when we are lying around waiting on sleep. We like scrabble. I know you were looking for things aside from video games, but our latest craze is this little video game called Pixel Junk Monsters. It''s a really, really simple puzzle/strategy game

DH sometimes reads to me on a wet Sunday afternoon. I love that!

If I hear the Cat in the Hat one more time....

Just kidding. That is really sweet, I would melt if DH did that!

We have a 2 yr old so we''re never short on activity. Before child, we would cook together a lot, I''d sit with him while he worked on the car or something, he''d sit with me while I worked on furniture. It wasn''t usually doing the same thing, just being in the same place.

somethingshiny, that''s nice! My dh likes me to sit with him while he plays vids. He''ll bring me all the mags in the house and sets up my paint my numbers. Makes me feel so wanted

Peepa~ That''s so sweet that he sets up a place for you! DH is good about setting up a clean seat and getting some tunes on. But I know he secretly loves it when I bring him tools.

I LOVE Scrabble and have been known to play against myself. It''s pretty pathetic. I used to think it would make my daughter feel sorry for me and play a game with me, but she would just laugh as she left the house to go out with her friends. :::shrugs:::

At least I can never lose. One of me has to win.

I''m so excited to have a house of our own so we can work in the yard together. I can''t wait to plant a garden!

I cuddle with my dogs, draw, read, try new crafts, and sometimes I enjoy going through all of my stuff and giving away all the things I no longer need (it feels good to purge stuff once in a while).

FI and I used to play Scrabble a lot but I think he became discouraged over time because I always win. I am the ultimate word nerd, he never had a chance.

We like to read together, too--we''ll buy two copies of the same book and read it at the same time. We spend a lot of time sitting by Lake Michigan reading during the summer. It''s my favorite because we''ll ride our bikes to the lake and then lean against each other''s backs to prop ourselves up. I always feel so connected when we do that. And I love to see him reading. :)
