I just saw the wax mold for the e-ring as seen in the CADs in the link. I, along with some, think the CADs were ghastly and chunky looking. I went to the see the wax as I had the option of making some changes without incurring any extra costs so I figure...why not? Well, i really liked what I saw. I don't know if I was relieved to see a tiny little ring as opposed to some battleship looking hunk of wax. The cut outs look AWESOME, and the halo is tiny and the side stones are just how the lady wants them. My concern, is the basket. While not tapered as much to the shank as I'd like, the design is really cool and the cutouts look better than the CADS. (here it comes...)
BUT....it's just wax! How do I know it's not going to be all metallic (i know it's made of platinum but still...) and the warmth and delicateness is gone because of hard cold metal? What is everyone's experience with what they saw with the wax and then actually got.
Also I don't have pics of the mold because I apparently didn't focus it right and didn't notice until I left...i'm actually going to swing by bring a better camera.
