I got your e-mail, fellow traveller . I replied in code, of course. Otherwise Joe McCarthy might haul us both up in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee.

I was just reading about a blueberry, but it wasn't yours. It wasn't even baked in a pie. It was Catherine's. Isn't it a coincidence that you got a blueberry pie and she got a blueberry ring? Or am I just tired? At any rate, I am delighted that you you ate the pie. It was meant for eating!
