Freaky weather disparity

It seems the colder it gets east of the Rockies, the hotter So. Cal gets.
Whassup with dat

Maybe there is some geological or meteorological explanation.
Maybe there's some big earthquake coming to even the score?

This winter has been wacky weather wise. Too cold for my liking. If I wasn't connected to family and doctors (NYC/Jersey Shore) I would consider moving but I am so probably staying here forever. But not a fan of the cold winters and hot summers and very shortened springs and autumns

i saw Autumn this morning
its very pretty and very white (it is pollinated by moths)
but its a shock to see it flowering -it always is, it feels too soon especially as its been so hot the last couple of weeks

Been fake heat warm here. By that I mean—the kind of heat that releases pollen and triggers my allergies. Would trade with anyone who is in lovely snowy weather! This weather traps me indoors. Sigh.

My end of FL isn't really participating. Yesterday we had 72F for a high which is off the norm for this time of year but its OK it was welcome. This A.M. was 54F which is coat weather down here.
