Hello everyone . . . i have been lurking a few weeks and would like to thank everyone for the education received by reading the many informative posts.
Basically, i have four stones currently being analyzed at the GIA in NY. What i have been told by a trusted jeweler/gemologist is the GIA report will probably come back as the following:
1. Round 2.38cts F/G color with VS1/VS2 clarity, no flouresense
2. Round 2.02cts E/F color with VS1/VS2 clarity, with mild to medium flouresence (this stone is a bit shallow, ratio is not ideal)
3 Pear shaped 1.27cts F colour VS1/VS2 Clarity, no flouresense
4. Pear shaped 1.29 G colour VS1/VS2 Clarity, no Flouresense
Supposedly the cut and polish grade is also very good.
So, while i could easily ask a million questions, i will try to keep it short an sweet. While my certificates are ready on Monday i began shopping around different buyers on 47th st in NY. Obviously the offers are a wide range, but the best i was able to get was 30% off Rapaport. This seems a little low especially for colorless stones. Basically, i just wanted any advice on the selling process. What should i be expecting, and what should i shoot for....Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
