Found the best thing to make Eleanor sparkle like crazy, and it only cost $1,500!

Yup, we got our new water softener installed the other day. Apparently those weren’t actually little inclusions I thought I saw, but instead it was the hard water build-up. Eleanor looks crystal clear now! This darned water softener made all the difference. LOL!

So if you’re new(ish) to the wonderful PS world and ever wondered, yes... the hardness of your water definitely matters.

May I ask what type/brand of water softener you went with? I started this thread a little while back about this very thing after a trip to the mountains and seeing the difference ‘clean’ water has on my bling. It was crazy! So I’m very interested what model you went with that has Eleanor clean and sparkling like mad!

That's great! I have such hard well water and should buy water for jewelry cleaning.

We went with a local company that has great reviews. Not sure if they are outside of NE FL or not. Our system is the Dual Media one. So far it seems to have been well worth it, even aside from the bling factor. My hair (which is naturally curly) is smoother as well, which is a plus in the Florida humidity.

Thank you. I am still trying to find a company to do an independent water analysis, but I really feel like it’s a simple issue of the usual hard water given the signs I see in our sinks, shower, dry skin, etc. I looked into our county’s water quality via their published reports, and it’s actually pretty good otherwise. And yea, I’d be thrilled to help minimize the frizzy hair as well. Four houses ago, we installed a water softner system and it was such a night and day difference in so many ways.

Thanks again for sharing! Color me jelly! :mrgreen2:
